BREWING BETTER
We’re ever-evolving and exploring new ways we can brew and operate our brewery more sustainably.
Where we can, we look for hops, grains and other ingredients from Great Southern/WA growers and suppliers, as well as further afield depending on the style of beer we’re making.
We look to our local trades, contractors and businesses first to keep money flowing through our community and region.
And because we’re small, we prioritise supplying our local region and WA retailers/venues. Not only does this mean your beer arrives to you fresh if you live in WA, it cuts down on our shipping emissions too.
We’re small because we know natural resources are precious.
We currently brew 100% of our beer from the rainwater we capture onsite.
It’s beer from the heavens, literally.
Spent grain, a waste product from the brewing process, goes to local farmers for stockfeed, which comes out the other end as plant-loving, natural fertiliser and helps grow healthier pasture.
Our clothing range where specified, features organic and/or recycled fabrics. And, when you buy merch online, it lands at your door in a home compostable mailer bag, or an accelerated biodegradable bag. Whether you chuck it in the compost or into your landfill bin, it’ll break down into plant food leaving nothing behind.
Packaging tape and pallet wrap? We choose plant-based, landfill biodegradable options here too.
Other ways we’re working towards better brewing in 2025:
Exploring renewables to help run our operations and a timeline for doing it
Getting onboard the social and capacity-building circular re-use program for our plastic beer clips - to keep plastic beer clips out of landfill
Local partnerships and collaborations that give back to our community
